Honeymoon Ode to Spain

My eyes are hungry for you
I want to take in the sight of every sunflower 
Count olive tree branches until sunset
And rest in the hope of more magic the next morning. 

Adventure looks like rainbow floral beds on bridges over flowing rivers of our love.
Dawn paves a new road today as we get lost in songs of courtyards and echos of guitar strings playing melodies so rich our ventricles quiver.

I feel alive by drinking in your sunshine
Each ray, a poem etched into my skin I get to read whenever I’m without you. And dream to meet your mystery again one day. 
The glass of your cathedrals stain my soul with hope of unity and understanding. Maybe one day, humanity can walk your cobblestone to find a different path. 

A cup of your sweet wine fills my veins with confidence to march on with pride. Even when around the bend is not a place I know much about. 
I feel your nourishment with honor and a sense of peace.
And as we keep escaping, let’s be Enriched and take on the world as she unfolds herself to us.
